WPCP

At the annual Mount Olive voters’ meeting, it was approved to enter into the Combined Schools Agreement with Fox Valley Lutheran High School. The Combined Schools Agreement pertains to Mount Olive’s adoption of the Wisconsin Parental Choice Program (WPCP) for the 2019-20 school year. Here’s what this means:

1.Mount Olive already has approved enrollment into the Choice program. All necessary policies and procedures have been put into place for a smooth transition.

2.Initially, the only students who qualified to enroll in the WPCP were those who were entering 4K, Kindergarten, and 1stgrade. Under the Combined Schools Agreement, those entry level limits no longer apply. Therefore, during the February 1stthrough April 20th application window, any family with students in any grade that meet the income limit requirements can apply to receive a voucher to attend Mount Olive next school year.

On Monday, you will receive an email with more information about the WPCP, more information on the income limits, and a very short survey. We need every family to fill out this survey, whether they qualify for the program or not. These numbers will help the Board of Christian Education identify how many vouchers to make available for each grade level. If you have a student going into 4K, Kindergarten or 1st grade, no other older students in the school, and you've already filled out the survey, you do not need to fill it out again. If you have a 4K, Kindergarten, or 1st grade student, and also older students in the school, please fill out the new survey.

If you have any questions, please contact the School Choice Coordinator, Laura Nason, at school.choice@mountoliveappleton.com. Or contact the Principal, Landon Zacharyasz (principal@mountoliveappleton.com) to setup a meeting to discuss this.
