Annual SISTERS In Christ Retreat
The Annual SISTERS In Christ Retreat takes place on September 7th from 8:15–11:00 a.m.
This year, we’re going to have a little different format. We'll start our retreat off with a brunch!
Registration begins at 8:15 a.m. in the Atrium followed with a brunch in the fellowship hall.
Enjoy some egg bake, muffins, fruit, coffee, and juice while visiting with the other attendees.
Our program will start at 9 a.m. with a prayer and then follow up with our presenters. Our
theme for this year is "Praise God for a Living Hope," based on Philippians 4:6— Do not be
anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests
to God.
Our presenter, Pat Freer, will be discussing, Lord I was "hoping" for a different journey! How do we
continue to hope in turbulent times? In this presentation, we will discuss dealing with the diagnosis of
a life-threatening disease and the difference between what we hope for in this life in contrast to
the "Living Hope" in our Savior Jesus Christ. Pastor Wordell will wrap up our retreat by
looking a little closer at our Bible passage and closing with a devotion.
Please RSVP for the retreat by September 5th so enough food can be prepared. Sign-up
through the Mount Olive SISTERS Facebook Page or on sign-up sheet located in Atrium.
There will be a free-will offering at the retreat.
