Dear
Parents,
Our
second Anchor Group activity is coming up in a little over a month! We are
going to be assembling Blessing Boxes to give to the Hope Center here in the
Fox Valley. The Hope Center is run by WELS members/congregations, but helps
needy families and single mothers from all over the Valley, not just in our
WELS churches. This year, we are making Christmas gift boxes for the families.
The boxes will include small gifts and cards of encouragement made by the
students. We are asking for your help in donating the materials needed. We have
provided a list of suggestions of things we would like to include. All items
must be unopened/unused/not expired. If you would prefer to send money, one of
the teachers will go out and purchase items with any money that has been
collected. You may start sending items starting next week, but all items and/or
money need to be given to the classroom teachers by Monday, November 12th. On the day of our Anchor Group, each group
will decorate the boxes, make the cards, and put in the items that have been
collected. The number of boxes each group will be making will depend on how
many items have been donated and collected by the deadline.
